Best Ever Italian Stuffing

Best Ever Italian Stuffing is my mom's classic Italian stuffing. It's a tradition passed down from my grandma. This will never miss our Thanksgiving table.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 10 cups Italian or French Bread 1 inch chunks
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cups celery sliced
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt I used Lawry's
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 cups milk

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Break up bread into 1-inch chunks and let it sit on a baking sheet for 2-4 hours to dry out. Best results if done over night.
  2. In a large sauce pan cook and crumble Italian sausage until it is completely cooked and browned. Strain grease from meat and place in a small mixing bowl for later.
  3. In the same pan over medium-high heat sauté butter, celery and onions until tender.
