SLOW COOKER BEEF CARNITAS TACOS

Flank steak that is rubbed in spices and slow cooks with peppers, jalapeño, and onions all day to tender and juicy perfection!  This recipe is easy and will become a family favorite!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs Flank Steak (other cuts can be substituted but flank steak is best)
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 seeded jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

SPICE RUB:

  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp black pepper

FOR SERVING:

  • corn tortillas
  • limes
  • cilantro
  • avocado slices
  • your favorite salsa

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix together all spices in a diminutive trough. Rub the spices all over your formation steak. Put your steak at the underside of your jar pot.
  2. Tog the steak with the cut onions, campana peppers and chilly attack. Release energy on LOW and ready for 8 hours.
  3. After 8 hours, disappear meat from crock pot and smidgeon with a subfigure. It should be improbably soft to tag. You can either follow the cut meat approve in the pot for added period or nurture as is.
